Experience Global Sights, Sounds, Flavors at Around The World Visits Snellville

Celebrate the growing international community in the Snellville area at the first Around the World Visits Snellville on Saturday, Sept. 29th from 1-7 p.m. at Briscoe Park. 

This newest event from Snellville Tourism & Trade promises to be an educational day dedicated to culture, food and fun!

Designed to represent the rich heritage present throughout the community, Around the World Visits Snellville will feature a dazzling array of international art, cultural displays, traditional costumes, dances, music and some global flavors to entice the palate.

Visitors will have an opportunity to collect "passport" stamps from each of the countries represented to document their cultural experience. Briscoe Park will feature main stage performances and demonstrations, along with global bazaars.

Schedule of Events 

(All events are the festival's main stage unless otherwise noted.)

  • Parade of Nations w/GGC and GTC students - 1:00  (Festival Grounds)  
  • Community Singing of National Anthem - 1:10  
  • Opening Ceremony and Art Awards -1:20   
  • Drake Irish Dance School -2:00 
  • Malaysian Dance -2:30
  • Go. Eat. Give Cooking Demonstration -3:00 (Go. Eat. Give. Booth) 
  • Japanese Swordsmanship Demonstration -3:30
  • Time2Inspire Hip Hop Dancers- 4:00
  • Heidi Hernandez – Belly Dancing - 4:30  
  • Laotian American Society Dancers - 5:00
  • Clogging Connection's Clog Squad - clogging - 5:30
  • Ghanaian Cooking Demonstration - 5:30  (Ghanaian Booth) 
  • Jordan Petty Caribbean Band - 6:00  
  • Clogging Connection's CC Express – Irish dance - 6:30
  • Festival Grounds and Exhibits close - 7:00

In addition to the main stage entertainment listed above, a variety of events will be available throughout the duration of the festival, such as: a children’s cultural crafts tent, school art contest, cultural displays, global bazaar, and an international café to satisfy your appetites!

I am looking forward to Around the World Visits Snellville. It will give me a chance to relax from my surgery two weeks ago:) I am thrilled at how diverse Snellville has become since I moved to Snellville 15 years ago.
