Primrose School of Five Forks Teacher of the Month

Congratulations to our Private Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Kase and Private Pre-Kindergarten Teachers, Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Drummond!

Private Kindergarten, Mrs. Kase

What is your educational background?
I have a double major in English and History.  I received my Graduate Degree from Georgetown University.
Tell us about your family.
I am married to my high school sweetheart, but we married much later.  I have 2 sons and a perfect dog!
What is your teaching experience?
I taught high school and Montessori School.  I have experience in employee training and education in writing/oral communications and management.  I have been at Primrose School of Five Forks for 13 years!
How many languages do you speak?
I speak four: English, Spanish, French and German.
At the end of Kindergarten, what are you most proud of?
I am so proud of all my readers!  I am also proud of all my students who are confident and independent!
What is one fact about yourself that no one would guess?
I was Pennsylvania’s “Junior Miss” as a senior in high school! (Slightly embarrassing, but true…do they even have this pageant anymore?)

 

Private Pre-K, Mrs. Taylor

What is your educational background?
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.
Tell us about your family.
I have been married for almost 16 years.  My husband is a tech agent for the F.B.I.  I have two daughters, Gena and Anna.  I also have two dogs, Fendi and Jake. 
What is your favorite part of the Primrose curriculum?
I love the Literacy Program and The Music Class.
What is your teaching experience?
I have taught in the public school system for 10 years.  I have been at Primrose School of Five Forks for 3 years!
What is your most rewarding experience with children?
I love seeing the light bulb “come on” when a child learns something new!
What is your teaching philosophy?
I think that hard works pays off in the end.
At the end of Pre-K, what are you most proud of?
I am so proud of how much the children have learned and how their writing has progressed!
What is one fact about yourself that no one would guess?
I love to go camping and being outdoors!


Private Pre-K, Mrs. Drummond

What is your educational background?
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University.
Tell us about your family.
I met my husband in high school and we have been together for 11 years.  I have 2 sons that both attend Primrose.  My 3 year old loves Primrose and his friends!
Who is your favorite Primrose Friend?
I have two!  Og, because I love reading great books, like Skippy Jon Jones!   I also love Billy because I love music and singing to Michael Jackson!
What is your favorite part of the Primrose curriculum?
I love the different themes that are implemented weekly.  I love integrating math, reading, science, art and music with the themes to make learning fun!
What is your teaching experience?
I taught in an afterschool program while finishing my degree.  I started at Primrose School of Five Forks in November 2009 and I love every minute of it!
What is one fact about yourself that no one would guess?
I played the viola in middle and high school.  I was also a cymbal player in my High School Marching Band.  I love school supplies and shopping at Target.
