Del Taco Returns to Metro Atlanta

Del Taco plans to re-open restaurants in metro Atlanta, including the first officially debuting in Snellville February 15. More than 60 are planned in the region.

After a long hiatus, Del Taco is returning to the metro-Atlanta area with its first location officially opening February 15 in Snellville, Ga., according to a press release from the company.

The quick-serve chain first launched in Atlanta during the 1990s as part of a co-branding campaign with Mrs. Winners Chicken and Biscuits. By 2002-2003, both Mrs. Winners and Del Taco had disappeared from local neighborhoods.

"For years, our fans have been asking us to return, and we’re very excited to bring Del Taco back to Atlanta," said Paul Murphy, Del Taco chief executive officer, in a press release. "We have a legacy of well-established value. With our new look, we maintain our value heritage while adding emphasis to the quality, freshness and great care we put into our food preparation every day in all of our Del Taco restaurants."
