Gwinnett Food Bank Low on Supplies
A little more than one month into the new year, the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry is in need of supplies.
Officials at the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry food pantry said they are beginning to run out of some of the supplies needed to help families struggling in the current economy.
Laura Drake, director of the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry, said in a mailer to Grace Community Church that the food bank is already out, or almost out, of the following items.
- Pork n Beans
- Tuna
- Dried Beans
- Rice
- Mac and Cheese
- Green Peas
- Toilet Paper
"This is amazing as we are not even to the end of January," Drake wrote. "The storehouse of the holidays is already becoming bare."
For more information on how to help and where to drop off items, check the ministry's website.

I understand, being the Director of the Stone Mountain Cooperative we too, are very low on food. Our numbers have tripled since last year. Thanks to the efforts of the folks at Trader J's Auction. We will have food Monday.
