Jamie Britt, Community Leader and VP of Britt's Flooring, Passes Away
After a battle against cancer, Britt passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21. A funeral service will be held on Feb. 24 at 3 p.m. at Snellville United Methodist Church.

Jameson Tony “Jamie” Britt, age 48, of Loganville, Georgia, entered into rest on Thursday, February 21, 2013, after a gallant fight against cancer.
Jamie was born on April 14, 1964, in Atlanta, Georgia to Dianne McCullers Britt and James Tony Britt. He was a 1982 graduate of South Gwinnett High School where he was an outstanding baseball player. He attended DeKalb North College on a baseball scholarship and was being recruited by a professional baseball team until he had a terrible break in his wrist. He continued his love of sports by coaching his two sons in baseball and basketball, enjoyed fishing, and was a longtime member at Summit Chase Country Club where he played golf regularly with his friends.
Jamie served as Vice President of the family business, Britt’s, in Snellville, and was a devoted leader in his hometown community. Jamie could always be seen in the press box on Friday nights showing his devotion to South Gwinnett High School Football. He served on the Board of Directors for the South Gwinnett Athletic Association, a Past President of the South Gwinnett Touchdown Club, and active in the Tipoff Club. He will always be known for his unwavering strength and commitment of always focusing on his family, friends and community. This fine, young gentleman will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Juli Cox Britt; three children; son and daughter-in-law, Jameson Jordan and Stephanie Britt “with little one on the way” of Bethlehem, GA, son, Jeremy Wayne Britt of Loganville, GA, and his girlfriend Lauren Dishman of Columbus, GA, daughter, Jillian Ann Britt of Loganville, GA; parents, Tony & Dianne Britt of Statham, GA; two brothers & sisters-in-law, David and Traci Britt of Winder, GA and Matt and Christy Britt of Statham, GA; maternal grandmother, Hester McCullers of Stone Mountain, GA; paternal grandmother, Sophia B. Britt of Snellville, GA; father and mother-in-law, Ben and Daynelle Cox of Sevierville, TN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Joni & Danny Ray Daniels of Woodruff, SC, and Denise and Tom Sanders of Sevierville, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and a host of many friends.
Jamie was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, James William McCullers and paternal grandfather, William James Britt.
The Service Celebrating the Life of Jamie Britt will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. at Snellville United Methodist Church with Rev. Julie Schendel, Dr. Dave Anderson, Coach John Small participating and Rev. Ronnie Kendall officiating. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1pm to 3pm and 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.

Gosh!!!!!still can't wrap my head around the fact that you are not here. I still see that sweet smiling young man always taking care of me at Britt's, what a wonderful young man. We love you and will miss you terribly. You are at such peace now, singing with Jesus.
