Today (November 30), Parkwood Farms and Zaxby's will join for a special fundraising event to benefit the Snellville nonprofit.
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Zaxby's located off of Stone Mountain Highway (U.S. Highway 78), patrons will have the opportunity to help the nonprofit when they make any purchase.
So, if you like Zaxby's and you like giving back to you local community, this event could be for you. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of the sales during the three-hour event to Parkwood Farms Therapy Center.
Meanwhile, if you are still looking for a tree, Parkwood Farms is selling them up until December 21. Proceeds from those sales also go back to the center.
The center specializes in equine therapy to help child with special needs. Dr. Marilyn Peterson, a local chiropractor, is at the helm.
