" Food in the freezer frozen solid." At my house we consider this a good thing.

No kidding. I would hope it would be frozen solid.

My husband and I thought we would give this place a shot, oddly enough Wednesday Nov. 14th, 2012!! The customer service is good, very clean diner, but food taste bad! We got the country fried steak with, corn, string beans, mac n' cheese and muffin. The country fried steak was just OK, nothing to write home about. The corn and string beans taste like they had been cooked in the same water/pot. They both had this stale, old, not so fresh, funky kind of taste and odor. My husbad said it while I was only thinking it. So that confirms it wasn't just me. No tasty flavor at all!! The mac' n cheese was bland and wasn't fresh either. And the cornbread muffin???!! Ugghh just dry, tasteless and stale too! All we finished was the s country fried steak(and had to drown that in hot sauce!!!! to make it taste like something), couldn't bare another bite of that nasty food. I told him "heck, I was better off cooking this myself!. I will never be back, I will not even think about recommending Luvin Oven. If you are in the area, skip it and go to, This is IT, Popeyes, Cracker Barrell...Heck run to the border, Taco bell!!!!! Maybe some ppl will like it, but I don't believe the majority will. Im NOT suprised at the least about why they got that new score. Old frozen food or food kept in the fridge too long will taste like crap! I don't see them being open past a year, unless they get some real cooks in that kitchen and start preserving their food properly!

After reading "Lauren W"'s review all I can say is "WOW I am amazed!" My GF and I just tried this restaurant on a whim (12/16/12), while we were waiting on our Chinese meal, which we had just ordered from China Wok, up the sidewalk. We both consider ourselves to be somewhat "foodies" and are very picky eaters. LOL So if you go there you should know upfront, this diner is definitely just that a diner, not a "bistro" not a "gastro pub"... a diner. Think Piccadilly on a small family owned scale and you'll get the picture.
We had the turkey and dressing, lima beans, candied yams and peach cobbler. The turkey was juicy and tender, the dressing moist and delicious with a hint of sage and the lima beans and candied yams were very good. However the peach cobbler was SIMPLY THE BEST I have had including my grandmothers!!! (Smile)
Now my GF RARELY if EVER eats all of her meal or dessert but she finished this and barely gave me a serving of the cobbler!! She said that since the restaurant is close to my house I could get more and so she was taking the cobbler home with her!! LOL We will definitely eat here again and in fact we are having them prepare us a large pan of peach cobbler for our family Christmas dinner!
