You could win a Family Four Pack of tickets to the game on Friday, June 1, at 7:05 p.m. at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

Entering is easy. Just scroll down and comment on this article by Tuesday, May 8, at 6 p.m. telling us why you love baseball or going to ballgames. We’ll randomly choose a winner from the comments.

All nine of the Gwinnett Patches are participating, so visit your neighbor sites and enter on each site. Each Patch will choose a winner, but you can only win one set of tickets.

I grew up with a Mom who loved the Atlanta Braves. We couldn't afford to go to many games, but I grew up knowing the players names, mascot, and chant. We played baseball in the yard with the neighbor kids in Stone Mountain. Now, as a Mom, I have two girls who also love the game. My 7 year old brings her tomahawk to games just waiting for the autographs. My 2 year old belts out a beautiful "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". We cheer for the G-Braves as well! Baseball brings the family together and makes great memories. That's what I love most about it. Thanks for the chance to make some more memories!

I have been a baseball fan for a long time. My dad took me and my two brothers to my first baseball game at Ebbetts Field in Brooklyn. I still enjoy seeing a game in person, including minor league baseball. My wife and I went to see a Yankees-Red Sox A League game in Greenville a few years ago. My wife has been wanting to see the Gwinnett Braves play.

Baseball affords us the opportunity to dream and fulfill dreams. A lot of children dream of getting a baseball glove. Going to a game allows more dreams. The young dream of the future. Adults dream of days past. The players dream of winning.

Oh, what isn't there to love about baseball? Once upon a time, my father used to take me out to Turner to watch the real Braves play. In fact, we saw a handful of games in the year that the 1995 team went on to play and win the World Series. However, I grew away from it-- valued it less, couldn't appreciate nor understand its beauty any longer. Then, two years ago, my mother brought home tickets to the Gwinnett Braves and I attended my first game in well over 8 years. These days, baseball represents a dream spun by a previous generation, woven by the hand of the 1900s into the jerseys which adorn our players today. Children who once played in the backyard with their family who now play in the big leagues because of a dream which carried them onward. I am a huge Braves fan and enjoy watching our local team play too, however, in August, I'm leaving Braves Country and moving to Virginia where there's only a minor league team linked with the Red Sox. To see one more game would be enough for me.

My dad got all four of the kids in my family interested in Chicago Cubs baseball back in the mid-60s to mid-70s when I was growing up in northern Illinois. My sister and I would cheer the "line-up" when they had the greats like Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, Fergie Jenkins, Billy Williams, etc. After moving to Georgia in 1979, I added the Atlanta Braves to my list of baseball teams that I liked to watch. My husband and his dad were at the game when Hank Aaron hit home run #755, and I was with my husband at the Braves game when Phil Niekro pitched his last game before retiring. We have taken our girls to both Atlanta and Gwinnett Braves games, and would love to go again. Coolray Field is so much closer to Loganville that going downtown, is much easier to get in and out of, and has inexpensive parking and tickets. It's a great way to spend a summer night! Pick me, please!!!

I live next door to the family that lost everything on Sunday in a house fire. I would give the tickets to the kids so they can have some good old American fun. Baseball, hotdogs and apple pie.

I grew up in Virginia Beach with the only baseball team being the Tidewater Tides, a feeder team for the Braves. When I moved to Atlanta 18 years ago it was a huge thrill to go to the big league games. As time has gone on I have come to appreciate the intimacy (and much less hassle and $) of the Gwinnett Braves. There are times for Turner Field and there are times for Coolray field; seems to me that's somewhat like life itself.

We love Gwinnett Braves because minor leagues try harder. There's always good seating, and it's not too big and hectic to walk around the stadium while watching the game. The games are higher scoring, and the traffic isn't bad at all. And you can get Tomahawk beer, which is only sold in Braves stadiums!

Our family is on a tight budget so we don't get to do that many outings with our son. We love baseball and winning these tickets would be a great opportunity for us to have a fun family outing and enjoy the great American Pastime together.

We would love to go to a Gwinnett Braves game! We have a 10 year old son that is interested in baseball. Our 7 year old daughter just passed away in April, and we have had to mainly focus on her for the last 7 years. We are trying to focus on our son now!

What's more American that baseball and apple pie? We first came to a gbraves game because our granddaughter's school was singing, but we discovered how much fun it is. The games at Coolray are so interactive with the crowd, and the team needs to be encouraged as they learn their craft and reach toward their goal of the major leagues. GREAT family entertainment!!!!

Love to watch baseball and play baseball. The environment is a fun one you can't help but enjoy. If you were down in any way, the spirited atmosphere will lift your spirits. Have not seen the Gwinnett Braves yet and would love this to be my first game.

My 7 yr old son and soon to be 3 yr old son are die hard baseball fans. They both started playing at 2 as soon as they could pick a bat up and they are naturals. My 7 yr old has growth hormone deficiency and looks like he is about 4, but he has the heart of a lion. When he steps on the field to play people are pretty amazed. Because of his size they don't expect so much in a small package. He never gives up and is so caring. His little brother wants to be just like him. Baseball is in their hearts and in their blood. My daughter just fell in love with softball after years of soccer. We all love the Gwinnett Braves games, they are full of family fun things and the kids love being so close to a "real game" I know they dream of playing on the "big" field one day with all of their heros they get to watch right now!

Baseball is a true game! A game of skill, trust and teamwork. Like life itself, it's a game of life-examples. Each player has to listen to each other, respect each other and trust each other in order to win.
That's why I love baseball and it's also why I enjoy taking my wife and grand kids to the games. I like to see them watching each team learning how to work things out together. My wife and grand kids don't know they are also learning how to work things out together but, they are.
Baseball teaches us how to have fun and how to laugh. We all learn by watching other people enjoy life. Baseball is a wonderful life lesson.
I love baseball because "We" are always right there n the game with the players.

Baseball is a time-honored tradition where every live pitch, smack of a glove or crack of a bat floods my senses with memories of moments shared alongside loved ones separated now by distance or astral plane. An evening flight over the Heartland, revealing the diamond glow of rural ballfields offers the most assuring comfort that, as Americans, we're still on the right track.

I am a life-long Braves fan. My grandfathers were fans the moment the team landed in Atlanta and passed that down to my parents. As a native of the Atlanta-area, the Braves rewarded kids with all A's with game tickets. As the team's success declined, so did the grade requirement. Luckily when I slipped to A's and B's so did the free ticket program. I loved Bob Horner and Dale Murphy and was upset when I thought the fans' cry of Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce were boos for Bruce Benedict. I was a senior in high school when the team went from worst to first and have been a solid fan from thick and thin, the pennants, the championship, and all things BRAVE.

One of the greatest joys of my life was taking my own children to their first Gwinnett Braves game two years ago, and their first Atlanta Braves game last year. It is a tradition I hope to keep up year after year. Go Braves!
