Nearly 1,600 walkers began their 60-mile journey on Oct. 19, at Stone Mountain Park, as part of the annual Susan G. Komen 3-Day event.

Patch caught photos of the first day of the walk, which weaves its way through Stone Mountain, Clarkston, Avondale Estates, Decatur, and more.

Walkers ended up in downtown Atlanta last night, at the end of 20 miles. Participants had to raise at least $2,300 for the walk, which started at Stone Mountain Park again this year.
