Romney/Ryan Campaign Signs Vandalized, Destroyed

The incident took place on Skyland Drive.

On Oct. 17, a complaintant on Skyland Drive told Snellville police officers that he had a Romney/Ryan campaign sign on the northeast corner of his front yard. While he was in his back yard, he heard a "popping" sound.

When he came back to the front yard, he saw his campaign sign lying flat on the ground, broken. It appeared to have been kicked over. He stated that he saw a male getting into what he believed to be a black Toyota Prius with two females in the front seat. The vehicle then headed south on Skyland Drive.

He stated that the sign had been "stomped on" two previous times, but that he did not report them.

As officers were speaking with the victim, his next door neighbor walked up to report his own Romney/Ryan sign missing.

The incident was reported on Oct. 19 as theft by taking.

A quick Google search shows that both sides vandalize and destroy campaign signs. Meanness isn't limited to a political affiliation ;)

Of course both sides have been vandalized - and this is not unique to this election, nor this level of office. It doesn't make it right, nor is mud slinging and name calling any better from a member of the voting public than from a candidate running for office.

So childish on both party's parts. Can we not be adults about this? Good grief. There is no need for that.
