South Gwinnett Cluster Schools to Split Districts
As a result of the 2010 Census, school board district boundaries are being revised.
Schools clustered in South Gwinnett will soon be split into separate districts, following changes made by the state legislature.
The new school board districts will go into effect during the upcoming election cycle in December. The changes come as a result of revised demographics from the 2010 Census. The state legislature revised and approved the new boundaries before the U.S. Justice Department gave the final go-ahead.
Britt Elementary, Snellville Middle and South Gwinnett High will remain in District IV, which is represented by Dr. Robert McClure.
Norton Elementary in Snellville, and Rosebud Elementary, Magill Elementary and Grace Snell Middle schools in Loganville, will move to District I. Carole Boyce currently represents District I.
District IV, which has included mostly Snellville schools, will pick up more schools from Lilburn: Arcado Elementary, Knight Elementary, Lilburn Elementary, Berkmar Middle, Lilburn Middle, Trikum Middle, Berkmar High and Parkview High schools.
In addition, Nesbitt Elementary in Tucker will move to District IV.
For a list of all changes, see the attached documents, or check the Gwinnett County Public Schools website.

Nope, it doesn't.... at least not for now. That would be a school district decision.
