1. Sporting Goods: I've learned that men of all ages are taking to the golf course, so your gift options are endless. I've also heard that a lot of men are into working out, or say they should be. So, a trip to your local sporting goods store is definitely worth a look. You could treat your special Dad and his friends to a golf putters or drivers, find some cool backpacking gear or snag new equipment that he just won't buy for himself. Try one of the sports stores in our area, or yours. $$ - $$$

2. Movies: I know a couple of dads who just love movies. One dad I know likes the genres that find themselves at those old, neighborhood movie houses. Another seems to pick up everything that comes out new. For either type of guy, you can buy the perfect movie present. A gift certificate to his favorite movie place, a Netflix subscription, or even a cool box set of are great ideas. Try our local or store, or any of these retailers in your neck of the woods. $$

3. Coffee: If the dad in your life loves coffee, then he will be really touched by the customizable "write it" mug that can be bought at some local (Not every Starbucks across the country will have the same thing, and some have a bigger retail section than others.) The mug comes with a paint marker for ceramic surfaces that will allow moms and the children to design the mug just the way Dad would like it. While you're at it, you can go ahead a get a Starbucks gift card so that Dad has something to put in the mug as well. $

4. Car Detailing: This one I know is a for-sure good idea. Every man I know, takes care of his vehicle. And, if they don't, well here's your chance to help that busy Dad out. Some places may have gift cards that you can purchase, but you could also just borrow Dad's car and take it over to his favorite spot yourself. Get his car cleaned inside and out and smelling fresh, and he will love you to pieces. (To find out where he likes to take his car, ask him where he usually goes, and then tell you want to know because you planned to take your car in. He will have no idea that you really plan to take his.) $$ - $$$$

5. Books:  What about a good old-fashioned book?  There are so many wonderful new novels or classics to choose from at our local , or any major bookstore in your area. You could also be high-tech and buy him a cool new e-reader and e-books to go along with it. $$-$$$$

6. Subscription:  Be it cars or woodworking, there is a magazine out there for every possible hobby or interest. A subscription to one that suits Dad will be a gift that will last all year, or longer! Check his stash first to make sure you are not getting him something he already has a two-year subscription to. $$

7. Electronics: I'm not into all the electronic stuff, but a lot of fathers are. I see them with their children or buddies in the electronic part of any big-box retailer, department store, or the Apple store. How about an Ipad 2?  The nice folks at can help with that. I also saw some shoes today that you can slip an iPod sensor in to track running. Apparently, those genius gizmo folks are coming up with stuff all the time. $$ -$$$

8. Tools:  If your dad is handy and has lots of tools, there is always one more thing he wants or needs for the shop. Even if he's not the handy type, everyone can find a use for a cordless screwdriver! and other hardware stores will have a lot to chose from. (There is, of course, a hardware store in even the smallest of cities, so you shouldn't have any trouble no matter where you live.) $$-$$$

9. Clothes for Work: has a huge line of clothes for men. From business casual to formal, the dad in your life can find many good options at Kohl's. Buy dad something that will make him look sharp on the job, or let him pick something out for himself. (It may be better to let him pick it up. People can be persnickety about their clothes.) $$$

10. Good Eats: Take dad out to eat. There are a lot of places to choose from in Snellville, from , to , to , and much more. (Or, there are any number of favorite eating spots in any city.) Take dad out to the place that fits his style and show him how much you love him.  $$
