Two Men Nabbed in Zaxby's Robbery
Kyle Ishmael Dixon, of Lawrenceville, is suspected as the lone gunman. Police say Brian Lee Jackson, of Austell, helped Dixon get away.
Snellville Police have charged two men in connection with an armed robbery at a Zaxby's restaurant in October 2011.
Kyle Ishmael Dixon, of Lawrenceville, is charged with five counts of armed robbery and four counts of false imprisonment; and Brian Lee Jackson, of Austell, is charged with one count of armed robbery.
Police say the robbery happened about 12:30 a.m. on October 15, 2011, at Zaxby's located at 2735 West Main Street.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a lone gunman, wearing a Halloween mask, dressed in dark-colored clothes, forced four employees back into the store at gun point.
The gunman then ordered three of the employees into the cooler and one to open the safe. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash from the safe and the victims’ cell phones, according to police.
Police say a nearby getaway driver assisted the gunman to and from the scene.
Based on information from Gwinnett County Police investigators, Snellville Police investigators zeroed in on Dixon and Jackson.
Dixon was later identified as the suspected gunman, and Jackson was identified as the suspected getaway driver.
Dixon is currently being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond. Jackson is currently held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility without bond.
