Woman Threatens to 'Pull a Connecticut' if Daughter Has Pneumonia

The incident took place at Eastside Medical Center.

Near midnight on Dec. 22, Snellville police officers responded to a call concerning a threat made at Eastside Medical Center.

Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, a nurse, who stated that around 11:15 p.m. a patient's mother made a threatening comment toward her. The victim explained that as she was giving the mother instructions on how to care for her daughter's symptoms, the mother "seemed agitated," according to a police report.

The mother made a statement about "pulling a Colorado, Connecticut" if she later found out her daughter had pneumonia.

The hospital administrator was very clear that the Eastside Medical Hospital administration would not tolerate any threats to their employees and would like to proceed in pressing charges on the suspect.

The Criminal Investigation Department is following up on the case.
