Have you ever felt life is disappointing or maybe...just maybe my expectations are too high? I have heard some folks when they tell others about following Jesus(and at least they are sharing and witnessing)well they kind of lead you to believe or think that once they do that, everything is going to be ok (and it is in your Salvation)here is the deal.....life still happens, issues still come up, people still let us down, we still let others down......life still rolls on! Am I wrong?

"But"(putting but in a statement means forget everything I just said)........before we are going through it alone....with Christ in our hearts, in our lives we do not go at it alone anymore.....

Here is how it works for me....once I truly except Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.....things did not stop happening.....I started changing at the way I handled them! I changed when I began to realize the place where we are....it's just a trial run.....it's about God, not about me.

See I began to let HIM be my Lord of my life.....not just Savior......My Lord! I had to change and Jesus helped me, held me, guided me....became the Light on my feet.

This Serenity Prayer became a target, look at what it says....

"God, Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did , this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next." In Jesus' Name, Amen

Once I started allowing Christ to start making the changes in the person who was staring back at me in the mirror.....then I started seeing 2 Corinthians 5:17 and that change....."Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come, The old has gone, the new is here!"

Taking one day at a time.....one step at a time! We say we want to change the world, well then draw a circle where you are right now, the change starts in the center of that circle. Do you think maybe Jesus was talking about that when he said in Matthew 7:3-5:

"Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? ⁴ Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye." See what Jesus promised here.....

"and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
