Lights! Camera! Action! - Time2Inspire is on the Set!

Time2Inspire had the privilege to participate in a brand new music video for the artist, Yewande for her new single, "War"!!!

Welcome to Arts in Snellville with Lonnie and Alisa Boykin.  We are the facilitators of Time2Inspire School of Arts in Snellville, Georgia, where we provide services in the performing arts for: Vocals, Dance, Music Production, Acting and Artist Development.

This weekend was spectacular as we were on the set of the making of music video called “War” by Recording Artist Yewande, featuring Rico aka “Furious Stylz” (Rapper) and produced by Marc Baldwin.

On the scene were Directors Eli Brown and Benjamin Barak. Directing Choreography was our very own Rob Myers instructing 25 Dancers which included several of our performers from Time2Inspire.

The concept of the song “War” (Co-Written/Produced by Yewande and Marc Baldwin) is about the internal chaos of humanity that often erupts in social conflict – racism, bullying, violence, war. Filmed in a post-apocalyptic setting, the video will follow Yewande and her militia of young soldiers on a mission to fight war with love. The video will integrate moving and still images that capture the consequences of ignorance, hate and social injustice across the city of Atlanta.

Call time was at 5:30am in the morning as the cast of the video production met near an abandon bridge near a remotely desolate area in Atlanta, one of the many places that the homeless reside.  At the peak of sunrise across the sky line of the city, the video shoot began.  It was a perfect day for shooting, as well as for a perfect cause.  Yewande is an artist that is reinventing the sound of music with alternative soul and rock sound infused with hip hop beats.  Choreographer - Rob Myers and (Wife and Stylist) Tasha Myers bring a vision of contemporary, modern jazz and hip hop moves that sets the stage for theatrical dance which commands the respect of the industry for Atlanta.

The dance moves were very technical and impacting, capturing the essence of set designs for the video and song.  It certainly took a certain quality of dancers to make this kind of presentation.  The performance was like a more modern and new style of Rhythm Nation music video, by Janet Jackson aired in 1986.  These were new nation dancers and Yewande was the leader, an ambassador for peace in our land.

Yewande was a vision of future empowerment in designer apparel by Tyrell Holmes of Duke & Dutchess.  Her beauty and powerful voice only compliments the person that she is inside.  Yewande is passionate about her music and the purpose that it serves.  She is definitely on her way to become one of the industry’s top recording artists right out of Atlanta and we are so proud of her and the opportunity that we had to witness history in the making.
