The report of last night's council meeting has a couple of errors in it. First, Anderson isn't moving forward with the October 4th court date, the city Attorney is taking that action. Anderson did in fact sign a consent agreement so the item on the agenda that said no agreement had been signed was wrong and should not have been there in the first place.Β
The council did not change the ethics ordinance, it simply added an ordinance to handle the preliminary evaluation of complaints so that frivolous and baseless complaints (political speech) could be evaluated rather than allowing them to become grandstanding speeches. Sabbagh voting against this is surprising since he seems to think that the complaint against him is frivolous. That complaint has to do with Sabbagh going to a Marietta city council meeting and using his position with Snellville to influence a decision of that council. He also threatened the Marietta council with a call to Al Jazeera.
I am hoping the voters realize what is at stake this election. Vote for puppets and allow a person to run the city for his own personal gain. He doesn't live in Snellville. But wants control of it. Loganville too. Lawrenceville is a place he's trying to get a strangle hold on as well.Β
