Private Pre-K, Kindergarten and First Grade Graduation

(Lawrenceville, GA) — Families and friends commemorated the pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade children at the Primrose School at Sugarloaf Parkway at their graduation on Thursday, June 26th.  More than 25 proud four, five and six-year-olds celebrated a major educational milestone as they walked across the stage—in miniature caps and gowns—to receive a diploma.  The day marked the students’ completion of private pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and first grade programs at the Primrose School at Sugarloaf Parkway, where students were taught the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum, which blends academics, play and character development.

As is the tradition, a reflection of the year was shared with the graduates friends and families in attendance through a slide show of pictures collected throughout the year. After the graduates lead the guests in the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance, they performed the songs You’re a Grand Ole Flag and America the Beautiful.  The students then closed with the Primrose jingle and the song Happy

Early childhood education is the foundation for a child’s future.  Primrose Schools strives to ensure that its graduates are ready to succeed academically, socially, emotionally, physically and creatively in elementary school.  The Bracken Assessment indicates that Primrose students perform at about twice the level of their peers and also show 1.3 times more yearly growth. Results from a survey of parents whose children went on from Primrose to elementary school show that parents rated their children above 90% in school readiness factors such as their ability to relate to peers, enthusiasm for learning, positive classroom behavior, concern and caring for others and ease of transition.
