Did you know that bees use seven pounds of honey to make one pound of wax? Or that bee pollen is a natural allergy relief medicine? You could learn all this and more after visiting Edward Sezenov of Snellville Honey at the Snellville Farmers' market. He sells honey and bee pollen in beautifully wrapped gift packs or as individual purchases.
Sezenov started raising honey bees in his backyard behind the Snellville Home Depot as a hobby.
“It was a dream,” he said.
He takes care of the bees during the winter and prepares them to harvest the freshest and sweetest honey by spring.
He says that honey is not only a natural sweetener for tea or baked bread, but it can also be used for medicinal purposes.
“Take one teaspoon of bee pollen everyday; it’s good for health.”
Stop by Snellville Honey and Sezenov will be sure to give you a sample of this delicious treat.
