At the Farmers' Market: The Bullock Cafe

Mother and daughter bring southern eats to the Snellville area.

The mother and daughter team of Aileen and Andrea Anom brings Southwestern and Southern style cuisine to the Snellville area with their catering company The Bullock Café. They design homemade breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees for parties and events, as well as sell scratch-made breads, cakes, pies, cookies and other baked goods.

“I’ve always loved baking,” Aileen Anom said.

She said that the idea for the catering company happened when her daughter brought it to her attention. “She liked watching Food Network, and said ‘Hey, we could do this,’” she said.

Andrea Anom also works for the Cheesecake Factory and brings great knowledge of food preparation and meal planning to the catering company. Aileen said the name The Bullock Café is in honor of her grandmother who instilled a value and tradition of cooking in her and her daughter.

The duo prices meals by the dish or by a fixed price per person for larger orders. They like to offer specialty foods like artisan breads and homemade apple, pear and peach butters. Some of their most popular items are pound cake, cheesecake and red velvet cake.

They hope to soon open a storefront in Snellville. “We want to have a place where people can have dessert or coffee,” said Aileen Anom.
