Centerville Youth Inventors Club to Participate in Global LEGO Challenge

Only 10 spaces are available per team.

An inventors club for youth in the Snellville area is gearing up to participate in a global LEGO challenge aimed at solving real-world problems.

Some 20,000 teams across 70 countries are expected to compete in the First LEGO League challenge, which will test the robotics skills of youth ages 9 to 16. 

This year's challenge is entitled "Nature's Fury."

Youth will be challenged to think like scientists and build, test, and program an autonomous robot to solve problems related to natural disasters. 

Teams may have no more than 10 youth, and an adult coach. Cost to register for the Snellville team is $85. Monthly club dues will also be required.
