Georgia Optometric Association Names Dr. Jeffrey Hackleman as Board Officer

Snellville optometrist selected by peers for leadership position.

Snellville's Dr. Jeffrey S. Hackleman was recently selected by his peers to serve as treasurer of the Georgia Optometric Association.

Founded in 1904, the Georgia Optometric Association (GOA) is a statewide professional organization whose 750 members serving communities throughout the state work to provide the public with quality vision and eye care services. 

Prior to being elected treasurer, Dr. Hackleman served in a variety of positions including as Carrier Advisory Committee representative for the state of Georgia; GOA Ninth District vice president and president; and, for the American Optometric Association, the Ohio State University College of Optometry student trustee.

Dr. Hackleman is in practice at Heritage Vision Center located at 2427 Heritage Village, Suite #4, and can be reached at 770-978-2020. He specializes in primary family eyecare, with a focus on sports vision and dry eye therapy. Dr. Hackleman completed his undergraduate studies at Purdue University and received his optometric degree from The Ohio State University.

He performed internships at the TLC Laser Eye Center, Columbus, Ohio, and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia.
