Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta and Chloe Pink Partner to Promote Female Empowerment

The partnership will emphasize leadership in girls and young women. They will soon start blogging on Snellville Patch.

Girls Incorporated of Greater Atlanta (Girls Inc.), a nonprofit organization that inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold, and Chloe Pink™, a girl-driven cartoon created by Sharna Fulton, announce a new partnership to mutually address the ever pressing issue of female involvement in diverse fields, such as STEM (science, technology, engineer, and math), entrepreneurship, and sports.

Fulton will also blog regularly on Snellville Patch. Her first blog can be seen here.

With this partnership, Fulton will create bi-weekly cartoons, while Girls Inc. will provide corresponding signature programming addressing issues directly related to the lives of girls.

Chloe Pink, the principal character, encourages girls to follow their dreams, while her peers, Brooklyn, JenBall, and Maria, serve as portrayals of distinct and varying interests to young female audiences; Brooklyn enjoys fashion and STEM subjects, JenBall is a sports fanatic, and Maria likes to bake and is an entrepreneur.

“Our goal is to collaborate with organizations that share our belief in the unwavering potential of girls, and Sharn’s world of Chloe Pink is a wonderful fit,” said Heather Rocker, CEO of Girls Inc. “This partnership will allow us to amplify the messages supporting girl-empowerment and self-esteem for girls, parents, and educators.”

“Dreams really do come true,” said Sharn’ Fulton speaking about her newly formed partnership with Girls Inc. “When I came across Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta, I had a really good feeling, because they promote everything Chloe Pink stands for and more: the right to be yourself, the right to share your voice, the right to prepare for economic independence, etc. Girls Inc. delivers an abundance of meaningful content to girls in a plethora of ways, and now, by offering them another medium – cartoons, I hope to help them further impact girls’ lives through the use of social satire, humorous dialogue and funny pictures!”

Cartoons will run twice a week on Sundays and Thursdays beginning November 1st via the Chloe Pink & Girls Inc. blog on the Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta website at www.girlsincatl.org, on Snellville Patch and through social media posts from Girls Inc. of Greater Atlanta and Chloe Pink profiles.
