We have a family's guide to fun activities and events for the weekend of March 25 - 27.

Hey Moms! We have another weekend of gorgeous weather coming up, so it's a great time to enjoy the outdoors before the bugs and heat get too bad. If you like being outdoors, try the Cherry Blossom Festival in Conyers. If being outdoors isn't your thing, I also have a few indoor ideas, as well. You could watch a child-friendly performance, play with Legos, see an art exhibit, or go out to eat. Now, go on, grab your kids, and have some fun this weekend.

1. Date Night at Chick-fil-A

Why Go: Moms, do you feel that you missed out when your hubby took your daughter to Chick-fil-A's held a special night for fathers and daughters? Well, now it's your turn. Register to take your son out for a one-of-a-kind experience this Saturday evening. The night will be made extra special with tablecloths, a professional photographer, take-home treats, giant spiral lollipops and more! You must register for this event. 2. Legos, Legos, Legos!

What: Lego Challenge

When: 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 26

Why Go: Does your child love Legos, or think he or she is the best Lego Builder there is? Perhaps, your child simply wants to sharpen those building skills? The Lego challenge at this Lilburn library is sure to please. No need to bring your own Legos; they will be provided. Just tell your child to bring his or her thinking cap and game face.

3. Enjoy the Arts

What: "Pete the Cat an Other Stories"

When: 10 a.m., Saturday, March 26

Where: Aurora Children's Playhouse, 128 Pike Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30046. (678) 226-6222 

Why Go: This is an opportunity to expose your children to musical theatre through a child-friendly, interactive performance. Eric Litwin, famed children's performer and author, returns to Aurora's stage to enchant your children through his musical entertainment and dynamic story-telling skills. If your child is one of the lucky ones, he or she may be invited on stage to join in the fun.

4. See an Art Exhibition

What: "Innocence" is an acrylic painting series by local artist, H.C. Warner

Where: Art Station, 5384 Manor Drive, Stone Mountain, GA 30083. (770) 469-1105

When: Tuesdays - Fridays, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.; *March 26- May 14

Why Go: This art exhibition, by Avondale Estates artist and gallery owner, H.C. Warner, is a colorful and exciting way to introduce your children to art and design. Warner uses child-like themes to express both the innocence of childhood and the loss of innocence upon reaching adulthood. His paintings are thoughtful, whimsical, colorful, and engaging for all ages. Visit his online gallery for a sneak peek.

Pricing: Free, but donations are accepted

5. Festival Fun

What: 30th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival

When: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., March 26-27

Where: Georgia International Horse Park, 1996 Centennial Olympic Parkway, Conyers, GA 30013

Why Go: This festival began as a way to encourage culture in the community and has blossomed into something much, much more. Set against the beautiful backdrop of blooming Japanese Cherry trees, this festival is full of music, dance, crafts, games, food, and more. Take a drive, enjoy the weather, and head out to this once-a-year event!

Pricing: $5, parking fee for one day, or $8 for a two-day parking pass. No admission fee. No pets allowed.
