Local Businesses Win in Grayson's Hot Tamale Chili Cookoff

Event benefits Grayson Care Groups - school teachers looking out for the material and financial needs of children in the community.

The Eighth Annual Hot Tamale Chili Cookoff in the City of Grayson proved to be another success.

The event, produced by the Greater Eastside Chamber of Commerce (GECC) benefits the Grayson Care Groups. This is a group of school teachers looking out for the material and financial (field trips etc.) needs of children in the community, took place Saturday.

With perfect weather and great community involvement, a fun time of music and sampling of tasty chili was had by all. Sponsors of the event included many local businesses:  Republic Services, Sam’s Club, Southeast Urgent Care, Tom M. Wages Funeral Home, Precision Planning, Inc, Art Thou Signs, Georgia Surgicare, Grayson Orthodontics, Purofirst of Gwinnett, Brusters Ice Cream, Moosehead Marketing Solutions, Quality Awards, Freskos Media, Paychex, and Houston & CO., CPA’s are among the businesses involved in the festival.
