Local Scout Earns Eagle Scout Ranking

Patrick Ford, 17, will be honored on March 17.

Patrick Ford, 17, of Snellville, will be honored at a special Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony on March 17, 2013. He went before the Eagle Board of Review and was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout on October 27, 2012.

To earn Scoutingʼs highest award, Patrick has earned 37 merit badges, including the 21 Eagle required merit badges, served as a leader in his Troop, and completed a major community service project.

Patrickʼs service project took place at the Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative  Ministries in Grayson, GA. He built a 3-bin compost bin, 2 work benches and a  work table for their Victory Garden to create a work area. Patrick volunteered for  several years at the Co-Op, so it was only natural he would consider the Co-Op for his project.
