Viewfinder: National Night Out Draws Large Crowds

This was the second year the National Night Out Against Crime took place on the Town Greene.

Despite the rain, there was a large turnout at last night's National Night Out.  The evening was sponsored by the Snellville Police Department and gave citizens an opportunity to become involved with law enforcement in an effort to build partnerships to prevent crime.

Community involvement has been on the rise in Snellville over the past couple of years.  This might be a silver lining in the cloud of upside-down home values; rather than putting their homes on the market, people are staying put and investing in their community.

The National Night Out is one of many events that have taken place on the Town Greene this year, including the Farmers Market, Star Spangled Snellville and the Sizzling Summer Weekend, among others.
