Nearby History Center Celebrates High Tea with Scarlett O'Hara
Guests at the afternoon tea party in Grayson on Saturday were treated to Irish Breakfast Tea, scones and a tasty light meal before getting a history lesson on Gone with the Wind finery by Scarlett O'Hara herself - well almost.
An afternoon tea party at the Grayson Arts and History Center on Saturday was enjoyed by those lucky enough to get tickets. Guests dined on homemade scones (a feather light sweet biscuit) served with Devonshire cream and lemon curd, followed by a light meal and dessert.
Jill Cremens, appeared as Scarlett, sharing trivia on everything that went into her dress, a replica of the original from Gone with the Wind. Guests came from as far away as Sandy Springs and Dunwoody for the occasion.
This was the second sold out tea that the Grayson Arts and History Center has organized this year.

The first one was at the Yancey House for Valentine's Day. Barbara Hinkle, director of the Arts and History Center, said future teas will be advertised ahead of time.
"We will post on the City of Grayson website and the Loganville Patch and anyone can call me at Grayson History Center 678 985-7775 for more info," Hinkle said.
