Photo Gallery: Community Garden Work Day

Snellville residents gathered together on Saturday, March 2, to build 17 beds at the Snellville Community Garden.

Over a dozen Snellville residents worked in the freezing temperatures on Saturday, March 2, to prepare the beds for future vegetables. Seventeen new garden beds were constructed and filled with soil.Β

A number of fruit trees were planted previously, along with a decorative entryway donated by Mayor Pro Tem Tom Witts and his wife Carol. Soon, whimsical artwork designed byΒ Snellville Arts Commission Co-Chair John R. Duke and constructed by WittsΒ will be placed in the garden as well.

Beds will be available to rent in April. For stay up to date on the community garden, follow them on Facebook.Β
