Snellville Council Honors Late K-9 Dog with 'Euro Day' Proclamation

Euro, who died April 2, was an original member of Snellville PD's K-9 Unit.

The Snellville City Council proclaimed April 2 as Euro Day in the city, honoring a former K-9 dog who died earlier this month

Euro, who was one of the original dogs in 2004 in Snellville PD’s K-9 Unit, died April 2. He retired in 2011 and lived with his handler, Officer Dennis Peters and Peters’ family.

Peters received a key to the city on Euro’s behalf, according to the city.
