Snellville will have Gwinnett County’s only Flag Day celebration, according to the city’s website.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 13 on the Town Green in front of City Hall.
“This is to celebrate our flag,” Mayor Kelly Kautz said in a news release. “It’s really to honor the flag and the values it stands for.”
The event features the Sons of the American Revolution firing muskets and soldiers from each American war and conflict since World War II.
The keynote speaker will be State Sen. Gloria Butler. The Snellville Police Department Honor Guard will be on hand.
