Snellville Man Wins Georgia Lottery Prize

Oscar Beltran received the keys to his brand new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Oct. 15.

Snellville resident Oscar Beltran was given the keys to a brand new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, plus $25,000 for customization, the morning of Oct. 15.

He purchased the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure ticket at the Shell Food Shop at 3283 Centerville Highway. Georgia Lottery representatives presented Beltran with the keys to his new vehicle at Gwinnett Jeep, located on Highway 78 in Stone Mountain.

Georgia Lottery players can win one of 15 new Jeep Wranglers, taxes paid, plus $25,000 for customization with Jeep Outdoor Adventure, a $5 instant ticket, according to a recent press release. Players also have the opportunity to instantly win one of 1,200 Eagles Nest Outfitters gift cards valued at $250.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.

More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.2 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
