Traffic Alert: 4 Projects Added to Road Closure Report

The weekly Gwinnett County road closure report from the Gwinnett DOT (for April 20-26). 

These projects have been added since the last report:

Grayson

  • Lakeview Road from Pinehurst View Drive to Shoreline Trace will require intermittent lane closures from April 23 for few days for storm drainage improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.

Lawrenceville

  • Old Peachtree Road at Cedar Road will require intermittent lane closures through September for intersection improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.
  • Hurricane Shoals Road from SR 120 to SR 20 will require intermittent lane closures through November for roadway improvements, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm.

  • I-85 at Jimmy Carter Boulevard will require intermittent nightly lane closures beginning April 23 through May for work associated with Jimmy Carter Diamond Diverging Interchange, weather permitting. Any such closures will be between the hours of 8:00pm and 5:00am.

These projects are no longer on the report:

  • Lawrenceville: Alcovy Road from Campbell Road to West Drowning Creek Road, which was closed through April for roadway improvements associated with Sugarloaf Parkway extension.
  • Grayson: Grayson New Hope Road at Chandler Road, which required lane closures through April for intersection improvements.
  • Grayson/Lawrenceville: SR 20/Clayton St/Grayson Hwy from SR 124/Scenic Hwy to Cooper/Ozora, which required lane closures for ATMS improvements.
  • Grayson: SR 84 at Pinehurst Road, which had intersection improvements.
