Weekend Wrap-Up: Mayoral Mayhem, Olympic Connections and Rare Bacterial Infections

In case you missed it, check out this weekend's top stories.

Snellville Patch featured a number of stories this weekend that got the community talking.  More than usual, actually.  

Friday
.  Things got out of hand when when Snellville resident Marilyn Swinney approached the council during the time set for public comments, and was silenced by Mayor Kelly Kautz for allegedly not following the public decorum policy. 

We also featured a story about  for a seizure; turns out he allegedly beat her into unconciousness, as evidenced by the fresh bruising around her neck, arms and legs.  He was located, charged and arrested last week.

Saturday
about pursuing legal action; she feels her first amendment rights were violated.  Many members of the community spoke out on both of these articles, including city council members.

Yesterday , a young woman who contracted a bacterial infection that led to multiple amputations.  She is the wife of South Gwinnett math teacher Mark Rinehart.
