Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: This Brookwood High freshman won first place in the recent Run the Reagan race for her age group (11-14). It was her first time running a 10K race. She also earned a varsity letter on her school's cross country, which placed second in the state championship. This spring Allie will also be running track. With all that running, how does this Brookwood student make time for anything else?
Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: Barbara Myers, Allie's mother, said her daughter is determined. "When she sets a goal, she works very hard to accomplish it," Myers said. As a long-distance runner, Allie also makes sure to follow her training regime consistently, her mother added. Earning the varsity letter as a freshman, was "a great accomplishment." Besides sports, Allie is also active in the youth group at Westminster Presbyterian Church, plays in the concert band at Brookwood High, and loves basketball, lacrosse and swimming. "Allie is also a super daughter, sister and friend," Myers added.
