30th Anniversary of Nutcracker at Gwinnett Ballet Theatre

Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster for 2011 holiday favorite.

Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2011 holiday season at the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre, which will run December 2 -18.Β 

Officials said the season marks "a very special landmark in Gwinnett Ballet Theatre’s history," with the 30th year of offering the famed Nutcracker production to the community.Β 

An estimated 150 cast members, including 4-year-olds and community leaders in special roles. In addition, there will many new costumes and sets including backdrops and props.

According to a press release, "this refurbishment of the well-loved ballet will include all of the favorite elements of this show plus many new visual treats."

Performances include 11 public shows, eight of which will be accompanied by the theatre's professional orchestra conducted by Predrag Gosta. Three performances will have recorded music, but also have reduced ticket pricing. Several shows will also be dedicated to schools. Performances will be held at the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center in Duluth, Ga.

Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster locations. Call 404-249-6400, or visit the Gwinnett Center Box Office, located at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.

Tickets are $13.50 to $29.50, with discounts at all performances for students, seniors, and groups of ten or more. Tickets school schools are only obtained through the theatre's studio at 770-978-0188.
