1. Annual Fall Bash at About Face Skin Care
When/Where: Thursday, Sept. 15, 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Care, 1561 Janmar Road, Snellville.

Why Go: Enjoy music and food and watch live demos of the newest skin rejuvenation techniques at About Face's yearly party. Prizes, including a trip to Paris, will also be announced during the evening.

2. Fall Makeup Workshop
When/Where: Saturday, Sept. 17, 1 p.m.-3 p.m., DeeLite Photography Studio, 2140 McGee Road, Snellville.
Why Go: Professional makeup artist (and Patch contributing writer) Cristina Butler is giving an afternoon of makeup tips, tricks and trends. Learn how to transition your makeup from summer to fall without breaking the bank.
Pricing: $15.
3. Gwinnett County Fair
When/Where: Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 15-18, times vary, Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarload Parkway, Lawrenceville.
Why Go: The annual Gwinnett County Fair is back with rides, cotton candy, carnival games and all that jazz. Special shows and pageants will be available on certain days, so check out the fair's full schedule here.
Pricing: Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for seniors and children 6 though 12 years, and free for children under 6.
4. A Day of Diva Dance with KiMMiE GEE
When/Where: Saturday, Sept. 17, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., The Lilburn Cultural Arts Center, 4230 Lawrenceville Highway, Lilburn.
Why Go: Rescheduled from last month, KiMMiE GEE's diva dance is a one-day workshop of confidence and self-love through dancing for girls ages 9 to 16. Atlanta local KiMMiE GEE, who's appeared in commercials and music videos and has performed live with Usher and Beyonce, will give dance techniques and positive affirmations to the girls, and the dancers will perform a routine at the end of the session.
Pricing: $25 per person.
5. East Town Gallery Grand Opening
When/Where: Friday, Sept. 16, 6 p.m.-9 p.m., East Town Gallery, 5347 East Mountain Street, Stone Mountain.
Why Go: The Butterfly House from the North Town Gallery is moving around the corner to the East Town Gallery in the Village. Check out its grand opening with a wood-turning demonstration and new art by Susan Ryles and other local artists, while enjoying food and wine. The other stores in the Village and SMart Inc. galleries will be open for shopping and dining, too.
