Halloween, the arts and breast cancer awareness take top spots in this week's planner. Here's a look at things to do this weekend in and around Snellville.

Why Go: If you're looking for an alternative to Netherworld that was featured in a our weekend planner last week, try this family attraction that brings spooky thrills for a super reasonable cost. There are two scare levels for the attraction, featuring one for kids (guided tour) and one for adults (full terror). You'll travel on a haunted 1/4-mile trail through the Ivy Covered Passage, the chop shop, a maze, graveyard, and more. See the trail's website here.

Why Go: Looking for another Halloween fun event? New London Theatre opens Dracula this weekend, and if you know New London Theatre, you know they always have a twist on an old favorite. So, if you know the dark tale of Dr. Seward, his fiancée, Lucy, and their mysterious neighbor, Count Dracula, head over to Snellvill's community theatre for the comedic melodrama to take on a new life. There's even a special Halloween presentation on October 31. 

Pricing: Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 on the day of the show. Children/students (3-19) and seniors (55 and over) are $10. Buy tickets here.

3. Brookwood High Comedy Drama

When/Where: October 13 and 15, 7 p.m., , 1255 Dogwood Road, Snellville

Why Go: This local high school acting troupe brings the community Neil Simon's comedy "Fools." In this presentation, is the funny take of a school teacher who  arrives to the village of Kulyenchikow, where a 200-year curse of stupidity is cast on everyone. If the teacher can't get the girl of his dreams to learn anything, she may never fall in love with him. Sad, sad, sad. Who knew love had anything to do with being smart. Why Go: Enjoy wine samples and hors d'oeuvres, as you get into the holiday spirit. This month starts holiday celebrations and booths will feature gifts that could be perfect for your family and friends. You can get your shopping done early and relax the rest of the year!

5. Think Pink

When/Where: October 15, 8:30 a.m., , 76 Main Street NW, Lilburn

Why Go: The Tip Off Club is sponsoring its first "Think Parkview Pink" 5K Fun Run/Walk in honor of . So, you can get your run on and do something good for the community. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the races starts at 8:30 a.m. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support breast cancer research. Goooooo Pink!
