Parkwood Farms, which offers therapeutic riding for children with special needs, held a charity event to raise awareness on the need of therapy centers like itself.

Nearly 50 golfers participated in Parkwood Farms' Holes for Horses charity event to raise awareness on the need for therapy centers like itself.

Parkwood Farms Therapy Center is a Snellville nonprofit that's dedicated to offering therapeutic equine riding for children with special needs such as emotional issues, autism, Downs' syndrome and cerebral palsy.

Aside from a round of golf at the Country Club of Gwinnett, the charity event included a silent auction, raffles and a comedy golf trick shot show by Brad Denton, Golfweek magazine's Entertainer of the Year for 2013. Lunch was provided by Chick-fil-A.

Sponsors of Holes for Horses include Walmart, Kroger, E.R. Snell Contractor, RCI Resort Vacations, Hayes Chrystler Jeep, Home Depot, Bluegreen Vacation Resorts, O'Brien Hyundai, Hayes Chrysler Dodge, Chick-fil-A and Costco Duluth.
