Snellville Dance Studio to Perform Annual 'Rhapsody' Show at 14th Street Playhouse

Triple 7 Dance Studio in Snellville is opening its annual show, "Rhapsody...the Musical." 

"This year is unique and special because our cast will have the opportunity to perform at Atlanta's 14th Street Playhouse," said Nicole Foster, the marketing manager for the dance company.

"Rhapsody" revolves around the theme of loving music, dance and each other. The show is in its fourth year of production, and the cast is larger that ever for the lyrical, jazz, ballet, modern and hip hop dance company. The first show for "Rhapsody" was held at Shiloh High School with a cast of 35 people. Today, more than a hundred cast members are involved. 

"With its growth, this show has been able to expose metro Atlanta adolescents and adults to the artistry of musical productions," continued Foster. "Even if you have seen previous shows, you will be surprised with how 'Rhapsody...the Musical' has evolved this year. We have new cast members, new characters, new dances, new songs, etc."

Because of the new 14th Street Playhouse location, Foster says the production is costly this year, though. Triple 7 aims to raise $7,000 in 21 days through online contributions to help with the costs. To contribute to the studio and production, check out the fundraiser page on Indiegogo. 

Triple 7 Dance Studio will perform "Rhapsody...the Musical" Dec. 14 a 8 p.m. and Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at 14th Street Playhouse, located at 173 14th St. in Atlanta.
