Stonecrest Mall Hosting Dance Battle, Win Money and 106 & Park Appearance

Sony Pictures and DanceOn are hosting an Atlanta-area "Battle of the Year" dance competition at Stonecrest Mall in Lithonia.

The dance contest takes place this weekend, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. Dancers ages 13 to 30 may compete for a chance at $500 in prize money, a trip to New York and an appearance on BET's 106 & Park.

There are a number of contest being held across the nation to determine finalists, and the competition will culminate in awarding a grand prize winner in early September. 

The contest is being done to promote the upcoming Sony movie, "Battle of the Year," which features Chris Brown, Josh Holloway and Laz Alonso, among others.
