Hello Gwinnett Moms!

Join us as we explore the trials and tribulations of raising kids in Gwinnett from two sides of the county.

It's Friday morning and many of us have helped our kids make it through their first week of school. We've wished summer goodbye and welcomed homework, soccer, band, dance, preschool, cross country, scouts, youth group and a myriad of other activities.

We've instated earlier bedtimes so that our kids will be bright eyed and bushy tailed when the cheese wagons a.k.a. school buses appear each morning to whisk them off to a world of social interaction and learning.

As moms of seven children between us, we’re writing this blog to give you insights into navigating the roadways of mothering in Gwinnett. We also plan to share with you deals to consider for your household and will comment on current events from a woman’s perspective.

By the way, it’s interesting that we have four female candidates (all moms) for State and Superior Court judge who qualified for the upcoming runoff election.

Let us hear from you. We want this blog to be a dialogue between us. We welcome your questions and comments.

Here’s to mothering in Gwinnett!

Let me start with this question, Julie and Barbara. What are some of the best activities in Gwinnett for preschoolers or elementary age kids? We have great parks, but in this heat they're not much fun.

Here are three of our favorites - SkyZone is great for elementary age kids, the Mall of Georgia has a play area complete with train rides, and the swimming pools at Gwinnett's parks are fun for all ages.

It doesn't look as busy, but it will take some getting used to. I cannot seem to locate event postsRead More that I previously entered for my business.
