Is the Government Going to Bail Us Out?

It seems all we are hearing these day is about how the government is going to bail us out or how some person just got a check from the government for $12,000.00 dollars, or all the promises that can not and will not be kept? 

My spam folder is full....I mean full of people telling me how much money I could have if only I would send them my personal information. One e-mail, which I have recieved 11 times over the last 18 months, is from a person in the Middle East and her husband died and she has only 3 months to live, and she wants to give me millions and millions of dollars in Jesus Name! 

I counted and added all these e-mails up and I would have enough money to send all my family and friends on Facebook over $350,000.00 each.

 So why do you think we keep getting these types of messages in our emails or advertisements? Here is my thoughts... 

It's what we want to hear! It's what some of us expect!  We believe that's what we have coming to us! Some of us are actually trusting the President or our Government to do that, and some candidates have promised that in order get re-elected......not just running for President, in the past and other offices...and some have bought into that.  

Look, it doesn't matter who the President is or what party he is from....it ain't going to happen, just like me sending a reply to all those e-mails offering me money, ain't going to happen.  

Here is what we can count on;

• We will continue to pay taxes.
• we will all die one day.
• Our family, friends, wives/husbands, our government will let us down.
• We will grow old.
• Our parents, living or gone, will become smarter each day we get older.

So what can we actually trust in?

God! (If you know me, you should have seen that coming.)

God is the only hope we have....God is the only answer to all this.

Through His Son, Jesus Christ, we will and can find all the answers....it might not be in our life time or in our time frame, however it will be revealed one day....we might have to ask Him when we get to meet HIM. 

Rick Warren said it so well in his book, "The Purpose Driven Life". We are not here to focus on these worldly things but to focus on God!

• We are here on this earth to give Him all the Praise and Glory. 
• We are here on earth as a practice run so that the day will come and we can spend the rest of it with Him when we get to heaven. 

Are you going to Heaven? Do you have a personal relationship with Jesus? Where are you building your treasure, here or in Heaven? 

God will bail us out....He promised he would! All we have to do as "Christians" is Pray-Pray-Pray! Do as Jesus commanded us to do, focus on others and he will take care of us....love one another, it don't matter if you are from here or if you have a green card, or what color you are......It is all about the price that was paid, it's all about a personal, loving, humble relationship with Jesus, It is All About The Cross! 

We have gotten so wrapped up in what we think that matters. Somewhere we have stopped looking up where it matters. We are not going to find the answers on a Ballot, or in an email or on Facebook or Twitter.

Do we need to be looking YES.....start in the Word of God, The Bible, in Praying...talking to God, HE wants to hear from us....maybe in Church? See the Church is not and never has been for perfect people and should never ever given that impression...the Church should be a great place to look for getting closer to our Heavenly Father....and to be with others who are looking for answers and I have had folks tell me, "Bobby, I don't go to church because the church is full of hypocrites."  I said, "Yep , but so is Walmart and we still go there, don't we?" 

Dr. Tony Evans once said in one of his sermons, "We may have all come over here in different ships...but we are all in the same boat now!"

We need change, we want change.  That change starts with us, in our hearts.  We say we want the truth. 

Look what Jesus said in John 14:5–6“ ‘ ...how can we know the way?’ Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

The answers we are looking for, will not be on a ballot, they will be found at the Cross, they will be found in the Bible. 

Maybe you need direction in your life today? Not only is Jesus the Way to life in eternity, but Jesus is the way to everything we need in this life here on earth.

Maybe out of debt? Look to the Father through Jesus. Maybe you need to know the way to having better relationships...the way to overcome an addiction...to live in peace and joy? When you know Jesus, you know the Way! The Bible says "and the Truth will set you free." Jesus set me free!
