Academy Sports + Outdoors Brings a New Location to Snellville
Academy Sports + Outdoors held a media sneak peek event and a shopping spree for local kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta one day before they open their doors to the public on Friday, July 1.
The new Snellville location of Academy Sports + Outdoors opened its doors a day early for a media sneak peek and a private youth shopping spree for children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
Academy Sports + Outdoors offers hunting, fishing and camping equipment along with sports and leisure products, footwear, apparel and much more. The new location in Snellville has over 67,000 square feet of sporting and outdoor merchandise, along with new features like a digital golf simulator and an archery range.
During the youth shopping spree held Thursday, June 30, forty children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta were given $100 gift cards and assigned a personal shopping assistant. The children were the first shoppers at the new Snellville store, and they left with bags full of sport equipment, new shoes, outdoor supplies and even new bikes. This give-back event was made possible by a partnership with the Atlanta Braves and their Junior Braves/RBI Youth Baseball League.
