It's also a great place to pick up pizza if you'd rather eat at home, and Cioffi's offers some unusual and tasty specialty toppings, inlcuding roasted red peppers, eggplant, feta and ricotta cheeses, and pesto.

It's worth saving some appetite for dessert, because Cioffi's has a great selection of brownies and all types of pastries (when's the last time you had baklava or canoli?) made at a nearby bakery.

The staff is friendly and attentative, and the prices are reasonable, ranging from $3.95 for some appetizers to $8.95 for chicken parmesan. Kids' plates range from $2.99 to $3.99.
