Business Spotlight: Flashbacks Model Raceway

This local slot car racing track recently moved to the corner of Highway 124 and 78 and offers fun for the whole family.

Flashbacks Model Raceway was established in 2000. Originally located by Summit's Wayside Tavern, it moved to the corner of Highway 124 and 78 earlier this month.

Owners Larry and Tina Black, of Snellville, opened the track to "give families a place where they could bring their kids and enjoy a hobby together," according to Tina. It's been a dream of Larry's for years to introduce a new generation to slot cars.

The business provides open track rental as well as scheduled races for all ages. On Thursdays, they're open from 7-9:30 p.m., and on Fridays from 7-10 p.m. They also offer a time for kids to race at 8 p.m. on Fridays.
