It looks like Enzo's Pizza in Snellville has permanently closed its doors this week.

Owner Tom Tillotson confirmed the end of the Snellville location Wednesday (Aug. 7) to Patch, but wouldn't give an official statement concerning why.

The restaurant's Facebook page posted the following message Sunday (Aug. 4):

Tonight will be our last night. Thanks snellville. It's been a great couple of years. Thanks to all who helped. Enzos in tucker is open and ready to serve.

The Snellville business was temporarily shut down in late May after failing a restaurant inspection and two follow-up inspections. The inspector reported issues with the refrigeration system, the cooking area being unclean and seeing cockroaches crawling throughout the kitchen and restaurant. Roaches were still found on follow-up inspections.

The restaurant re-opened in mid-June after passing a third follow-up inspection with a 99/A, and it received an 89/B on July 19. Tillotson had been working on getting Enzo's up to par, even requesting that the health department inspect the business at least every two weeks, he told Patch.

Enzo's recently had a Groupon for the Snellville location, and there are still dozens that have not been honored, according to Tillotson  He said customers can use them in Tucker.
