Deficiencies observed: Vegetable slicer stored as clean with visible food debris present on the blade and some cold foods not a right temperature.

Deficiencies observed: Observed employee double glove to handle raw meat then discard glove and continue to do other prep (both gloves are supposed to be thrown away after use), some foods (cheese) not a right temperature, observed one dented can, and wiping cloth buckets need to be stored so that they cannot contaminate food by splash or spilling.

Deficiencies observed: Observed employee handling dirty dishes to load into the dishwasher and then unloaded clean dishes without washing his hands first; food not protected from contamination by separating raw foods; food slicer, vegetable peelers and knife stored with dried food debris; some foods not properly thawed; and  soil and flour on floor in outside dry storage area. There is a follow-up inspection within 10 days.

June 4:

Name: Atlantic Buffet Sushi and Grill
Location: 2059 Scenic Highway, Suite 117
Score: 91/A
Previous Scores: 100/A (April 19, 2011)
Deficiencies observed: All raw fish (tuna, salmon, and crab) that was in sushi display not a right temperature, and all raw fish had to be thrown out; and ribs and sweet and sour chicken not a right temperature.

June 6:

Deficiencies observed: Two cans of pesticides were found being stored in the food service facility, employee wearing jewelry other than a plain ring while preparing food, and utensil for waffles was found being stored in water that was below 135 degrees.

Deficiencies observed: The facility is using a spray bottle of sanitizer and a cloth rag to clean guest tables, instead of paper towels;  can of Raid was stored in the back of the facility; bulk products removed from their original packages, and not labeled; potentially hazardous foods not properly thawed; most current inspection report not posted; and covered waste basket or sanitary napkin receptacle not provided in the employee’s women’s restroom.

Deficiencies observed: Sandwich and chips on cooler, half-eaten, and Observed employee beverage stored in a disposable cup without a lid or straw; wet wiping cloths stored on countertops; and the manager was out of sanitizer solution for wiping cloth buckets.
