Snellville Weekend: some local entertainment options for April 19-21, 2013.

Courtesy of Explore Gwinnett, we have some entertainment options for Snellville and surrounding areas:

April 20, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Taste of Shiloh
Snellville

Come for the Fun, stay for the Taste.  The fun starts at 8:00 am with a 5K race at Shiloh High School stadium on Bethany Church Road.  After the race, dress up your pooch and compete for a first place cash prize in the Pooch Parade at 11:00 AM.  Pet vendors and suppliers, rescue dogs and "chipping" vendors will be there all afternoon.  Come inside for a "Taste" from one of 39 restaurants.  Stay and shop at one of the 50 small businesses that will be there.  Pooch Parade from 11 - 1PM; Food from noon - 3:30; Shopping noon - 3:30 and fun all day long.  Festival events are free.  Taste tickets available from any Shiloh cluster school or at the door for $10.00.

Ladies Workout Benefit for Gwinnett County Battered Women's Shelter
Snellville

As a thank you to the community for 18 great years, Ladies Workout Snellville will be celebrating one year in its new location with a benefit for The Gwinnett County Battered Women's Shelter.

There will be samples of the different classes that the gym offers, food, local vendors, a self defense class from a member of the Snellville SWAT team, a cake walk, games and awesome raffle prizes. Don't miss The First Annual Snellville Olympic Relay!

Either a donation of a household item or $5 cover charge will grant you admission to the day's festivities. The event will be open to the public. The events are adult participation only. Battered Women's Shelter.

It’s a night under the stars! Enjoy a traditional camp dinner, watch and learn about the Lyrids Meteor Shower, participate in fun activities, plus breakfast in the morning! Bring your own tent and camping gear (no fires allowed). Children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
