New Hair Salon, Commerce Association Launch

The official grand opening and ribbon-cutting of a new beauty-care shop, Peace, Love, Hair, in Grayson served as the soft opening of a new business association serving Grayson, Loganville and Snellville.

The official opening of a new business in Grayson last week also served as a soft launch of a new business association serving the tri-city area of Grayson, Loganville and Snellville.

“Peace, Love, Hair is our inaugural member and Melissa Squires-Langley is a member of our Member Advocate Team," said Michelle Couch, one of the founder members of the new Tri-City Business Association.

Peace, Love, Hair, located on Main Street in historic downtown Grayson, is a beauty-care shop offering a full range of services that include custom styling, trimming, color highlights and blowouts as well as haircuts for men, women and children. Couch said owner Squires- Langley is a master colorist and educator and “brings years of color expertise, experience and artistic passion” to the new salon. Peace, Love, Hair, open for just over a month, welcomed about 70 people to the joint Grand Opening and Ribbon-cutting that was catered by Hail Mary Sports Pub and Parkside Bakery.

Couch said the formal launch of the Tri-City Business Association would come in the next month or two.

“We secured our business license in Grayson about a month ago where we are headquartered and we will have a remote office in Snellville where one of our corporate partners is located,” Couch said, adding the Grayson office initially would be located at 2613 Grayson Highway 20. “Our membership investment will be $95 and there will be customized upgrades to memberships for businesses that may need a virtual office, website, conference room, administrative assistance, etc.”

Couch said the membership dues would include monthly coffees, lunches and networking-after-hours at no cost to members.

“We have hired an executive director who will be responsible for membership recruitment,” Couch said, adding they also have hired a part-time membership services manager. “We will have an executive member council and a member advocate team.”

Couch said although most of the leadership team is already in place, that information would be made public closer to the formal launch date.
